Verner Prints

Elizabeth O'Neill Verner's elegant and atmospheric depictions of Charleston's ambiance and character went hand-in-hand with her understanding that they were endangered by the pressures of "progress" and exploitation. In her sensitivity to what makes Charleston unique, her kill at bringing it alive through her art, and her committment to preserving it through her actions, she was a singularly effective preservationinst and former member of the Preservation Society of Charleston.
