Grayson Flowers' Essentials for Fall
Posted by Andy Archie on
Growing up in Charleston, I know that the fall is the best time of the year. From football season to the Preservation Society of Charleston's Fall Tours, there is always something to do! Luckily in Charleston we also have no shortage of great local makers to help you stay on top of plans with ease. Here are some of my personal favorites:
Burls and Steel Oyster Shuckers will make you the star of oyster roast season. Just like oysters, each handcrafted shucker is one-of-a-kind.

J. Stark Tote Bags are the perfect on-the-go bags, available in a range of colors and sizes — there is a design for everyone. Whether it becomes your farmer's market bag, your everyday carry-all, or a go-to gift, we promise it will do the trick.

Susan Gregory
mugs will make your daily caffeine boost all the more enjoyable. Her mugs, along with her other pieces, are created in her studio in the Neck area of North Charleston.

Impress your dinner guests from start to finish because the Smithey Dutch Oven can do it all, no matter if you're making shrimp gumbo or cobbler.

Farm to Feet makes the only socks you will need to get you through the cooler season, keeping you cozy on the move between the office, tailgates, and haunted houses this fall.

For the friends who cannot join us in Charleston this fall, Manning Williams' Reinventing Narrative Painting: A Life in Art will give you a taste of what you're missing. The late artists collective work showcases lowcountry scenes like The Oyster Roast, 1985 to scenes from his travel journey and his abstracts!
